Six new complexes of palladium(II) with the general formula [Pd(L)2Cl2], where L = 2-amino-4-(4-substitutedphenyl)thiazole. The palladium complexes were prepared by the reaction of 2-amino-4-(4-substitutedphenyl)thiazole ligands with bis (benzonitrile)palladium(II) dichloride in chloroform solvent in a molar ratio of Pd:L = 1:2. The resulting complexes were characterized by magnetic susceptibility, conductivity measurements, infrared, 1H NMR, and thermogravimetric analysis. The ligands behaved monodentally and bound Pd(II) through the nitrogen atoms of the thiazole ring.
