The therapeutic impasse is a standoff or paltue in the procedure of achieving a therapeutic objective. The current research was conducted to explore the Experience of 5 Clinical Psychologists as well as to assess the numerous reasons involved in the impasse situation. Phenomenology a qualitative design was chosen to undertake in-depth analysis, and five Clinical Psychologists were interviewed. Interpretive Phenomenological Analysis was applied to analytic thinking of results. Results indicate that certain factors like Transference and Countertransferential issues, Lack of Collaboration between therapists and patients as well as the diagnosis of Personality Disorders, played the significant contributions in the development of Impasse Experience.
